ENGINEERING / COMPLETED / OCTOBER 2026
Fifteen years of files.
A structure that holds.
I reorganized a nonprofit’s Shared Drive, accumulated since 2011, around how the organization works.
Nothing missing. Nothing misplaced.
ENGINEERING / PROJECT STUDYThe problem
Fifteen years of files had left inconsistent naming and folder structures. The nonprofit needed an agreed structure without losing track of its records.
Plan before moving
I inventoried the Drive and worked from an approved plan. The new structure ran from Board and Governance through IT, with historical records organized by function and school year. Finance and legal records stayed together as whole units.
Verify every item
The work included 294 individual moves, renames and archive operations, plus 59 new folders. I read back every Drive ID and checked its location against the plan.
The result and the boundary
All 7,871 items were accounted for: zero missing, zero failed and zero in the wrong location. A separate second phase of cleanup remained at the dry run stage and is not included in these completed results.
